Many will argue that a burger is only as good as the sum of its parts, and if that is indeed true, then the burgers served at The Pint Room are, necessarily then, some of the best in the city.
Chef Ryan Romito, who also co-owns The Pint Room, uses only 5-star ingredients when he cooks – the best meat and freshest produce for his burgers – and all of his sandwiches are finished with house-made sauces, dressings, and slaws.
So, it should come as no surprise that Chef Romito is bringing it for CU’s Best Bites: Burgers event next Wednesday, offering up three different burgers for customer appreciation, satisfaction, and vote.
The Cajun Burger is the first one up: a 50/50 blend of Kobe and prime ground beefs, tasso, pico de gallo, pepperjack cheese, and Old Bay mayonnaise. There’re big punches of flavor with every bite, as this one is unrelenting in its zeal to sate the ravenous eater.
The Triple Burger embodies BBQ between the bun: more of the 50/50 blend, braised short rib, Ohio-smoked cheddar, applewood smoked bacon, and horseradish slaw. This is dad’s burger updated for hungry urbanites who love to chow down on a good, hearty meal.
And for the health conscious, the California, with alfalfa sprouts, arugula, avocado, vine-ripe tomatoes, white cheddar, and a finish of a sweet-and-slightly-spicy cherry pepper relish. Because wholesome never tasted so good.
Any one of these could be the best burger in Columbus. You’ll never know for sure though unless you come out and vote at the Best Bites: Burgers event, scheduled to take place on Wednesday, August 2oth, 6pm – 9pm, at the High Line Car House, 550 South High Street.
Tickets to Best Bites: Burgers are currently sold out, but you can register to win 2 free tickets by subscribing to our email newsletter:
