Columbus residents Lisa and Dan Anglim took over ownership of Sugardaddy’s in November 2013, and have been doling out their signature brownies ever since. Their recipes are 100% natural, often containing no more than 10 basic ingredients.. They’ll be offering up 4 different kinds of brownie-based treats at the upcoming Best Bites event, including several that have received national acclaim in publications like InStyle, Woman’s Day, and Midwest Living.
First up is the tropical Tahiti Blondie brownie. This chewy brown-sugar blondie is filled with whole toasted cashews, marble-sized white and dark chocolate chunks, and moist pieces of Hawaiian pineapple. A liberal sprinkling of toasted coconut shreds tops the brownie. The vanilla-based Celebration Blondie is inspired by shortbread and sugar cookies. A toss of lemon zest gives this buttery brownie a fresh zing, topped with vanilla buttercream icing and multicolor sprinkles. The Auburn Original Brunette is a bittersweet double-chocolate brownie whose richness is infused with a dash of South American espresso and whole roasted walnuts. Last but not least, the Brownie Bottom Cheesecake, made of Sugardaddy’s vanilla-bean cheesecake resting in a brownie-blondie combination crust, is the ultimate decadent dessert.
