Best Art Gallery of 2013: Wexner Center for the Arts

The Short North may be known traditionally as the arts district of the city of Columbus, but when we asked our readers about their favorite galleries, less than half of the Top 10 results are actually located in the neighborhood. What that means is that wider support for the arts is penetrating other areas from Franklinton to Downtown to OSU and beyond.

And speaking of wide support for the arts, at the top of the list this year for the first time is The Wexner Center, which has also been named as the Top Cultural Institution of 2013 in Columbus. The Wexner Center’s large gallery space showcases a wide variety of exhibitions and installations year round, and serves the all-important purpose of pulling a diverse audience of students, residents and visitors in a way that no other gallery does.
