Barrio will open this summer as a part of the 15+High development in the University District.

“We couldn’t be more honored and excited to bring Barrio Tacos to the center of the University District at 15+High,” says Jason Beudert, partner, Barrio Columbus. “Barrio means neighborhood in Spanish, and we’re beyond excited to be welcomed into this amazing development and to focus on bringing that neighborhood level of service to the students, faculty, residents and visitor to the University District.”

The restaurant will span 4,000 square feet inside, including a mezzanine level, with a 1,100 square foot patio sporting views of High Street and the development’s new plaza. It will be decked out in Barrio’s signature Day of the Dead theme, while incorporating work from local artists.

Diners will find Barrio’s menu of build-your-own tacos accompanied by student budget friendly free chips & salsa. Queso, guacamole, margaritas and a full bar featuring craft cocktails and beer round things out. Barrio will also offer happy hour and brunch on the weekends.

“15+High is a place where the Ohio State University and the community connect,” said Amanda Hoffsis, president of Campus Partners, developer of 15+High. “Barrio is the perfect addition to this new development to bring students, faculty and neighbors together.”

The University District will be Barrio’s 13th location nationwide.
