Bareburger has permanently closed its doors in Clintonville at 4560 N. High St.

No official statement from Bareburger Clintonville was found, but the location is no longer listed on Bareburger’s website and is reported closed on Yelp.

George Mathew, owner of the Short North Bareburger, confirmed the closure, stating the location was managed by the ownership group out of New York, where Bareburger is based, and closed due to the loss of dine-in during the coronavirus shutdown.

According to its Facebook page, Bareburger Clintonville offered delivery and curbside pickup for the first week of the dine-in shutdown in mid-March. A post on March 22 announced the location would be closing for the time being.

“This is a temporary closure and we look forward to serving our community when this passes. For now the safety of our team and community is what matters,” the post read.

The first Columbus location of the NYC-based burger chain opened in the Short North at 463 N. High St. in March 2014. Clintonville followed in September 2016. The Short North Bareburger remains open and is the chain’s only location in the state.
