Rick Bauer is a member of the Kalamazoo Bicycle Club and Executive Creative Director of RKB Communications, Inc. He’s spent over 40 years as a copywriter in the advertising industry, and five years as a stand-up comedian. The city of Kalamazoo has been wracked by two mass-murders in four months: this event and the murder of six people and the wounding of two by an angry Uber driver. Additionally, as Rick wrote this op-ed two bailiffs in the Berrien County Courthouse were murdered near his office in Saint Joseph, Michigan, and streets were closed.
