A new pilot public art bike rack program was just launched and is seeking design proposals through August 14th. The program is a collaborative effort between the Columbus Art Commission (CAC), the Recreation and Parks Department, the Department of Public Utilities and the Greater Columbus Arts Council (GCAC).

Nine bike rack proposals will be chosen from the submissions and will be fabricated and placed at eight Columbus Rec Centers, including the Barack Community Center, Blackburn Community Center, Dodge Community Center, Indian Mound Community Center, Milo Grogan Community Center, Tuttle Community Center, Westgate Community Center, and Whetstone Community Center.

The RFP allocates $1,000 for artist design fees and $5,000 for fabrication per bike rack.
