“We’re beyond excited to continue with affordable yoga in Columbus,” is how Jordan Davis Turner sums up the last few weeks as the Art of Yoga prepares to move from Rich Street to a new home inside the Idea Foundry.  Prices will be low (or free!) and the programming is streamlined.

Art of Yoga was founded in 2014 by creative force Ryan Bauer as a way to combine his love of yoga and art. Art of Yoga (AOY) has been one of the most affordable places in Columbus not only for a yoga practice but also for artists to show their work. Bauer was very proud that 100% of art sales could go to the artists. Stewardship of AOY passed to accomplished actress/director/dancer Jordan Davis Turner who found a home for the yoga and art inside the Franklinton Playhouse with Red Herring Productions on West Rich for several years.

Turner is enthusiastic about the new location as it is close to the current location.

“It’s a perfect match of circumstance,” said Turner. “The spaces inside the Idea Foundry are amazing. There are so many curious and creative people coming to the Idea Foundry that this will give us access to a whole new audience, too.”

Classes will be free to Idea Foundry members. “We are really going to lower costs and streamline at the Idea Foundry,” notes Turner, “All classes will be $5 — cash or Venmo only — as we will be off MindBody which will save us a lot.”

The Art of Yoga will have classes in the Idea Foundry at 421 W. State Street starting December 1, 2019. All class announcements will be via social media or email.  Classes are free to Idea Foundry members or $5. For more information visit artofyogastudios.com.
