Representatives from local apartment community company Preferred Living are asking the Upper Arlington Board of Zoning and Planning for approval of a new four-story project at this month’s meeting. The development, known as “The Luxe at Roosevelt”, was first brought in front of the Board back in February, and faced some criticism with regard to traffic congestion and sewer line capacity.
In the months since that meeting, Preferred Living has documented meetings with the Ohio Department of Transportation and the Upper Arlington City Engineer, stating that after full review, their plans meet all criteria and compliances with public utilities and traffic studies.
If approved, The Luxe at Roosevelt would contain 76 new apartment units inside a four-story structure located at 3140 Riverside Drive with two smaller detached garage buildings on the north and east sides of the property. Currently, this site is home to a vacant restaurant building closest to Riverside Drive, with four smaller residential buildings located in back.
The Upper Arlington Board of Zoning and Planning will meet on Monday, September 19th to approve or deny the application.
