    Anyone buying a bike through COTA’s online Auction?

    COTA wrote COTA Auctioning Unclaimed Bicycles Through Online Auction

    The Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) will be auctioning bicycles during an online auction beginning April 7, 2008 and continuing until April 13, 2008. The auction will be conducted through www.publicsurplus.com.

    The 54 bicycles to be disposed of were left on COTA buses and were not claimed within 90 days. The bicycles will be sold in lots of three.

    The auction is scheduled to begin at 8 a.m. on Monday, April 7. Instructions on how to bid for items are available on the website.

    Successful bidders will be required to pay the winning bid amount and pick up the bicycles by 4:30 p.m. on April 18, 2008. All items scheduled for pickup must be made by appointment. Items not picked up by the deadline will remain the property of COTA.
