Alpha Suit Offers Custom Suits for Young Professionals
There are dozens of boutique shops that can be found when walking down High Street through the Short North, but some of them are a bit more difficult to find than others. Alpha Suit is one such business, located in a space that you might not expect to find a retailer.
Alpha Suit was created by Columbus native Sean McKee, who has been in the custom clothing business for over 20 years. McKee has traditionally worked with CEOs in their home or offices, which can be a very expensive service for individuals to afford. After noticing the growing population of young professionals in Columbus that couldn’t afford his services, McKee came up with an alternative. He created a business that offers affordable customized suits that he says will allow customers to walk into work feeling like a million bucks.
“The bottom line is being able to help young guys feel good about themselves, and being able to give back,” said McKee.
Alpha Suit can be found inside Industrious, located on the fourth floor of The Joseph office building. The co-working office space is always stocked with local drinks, craft beer and snack foods to elevate your experience and create a casual environment. With McKee’s online system, customers can book an appointment in advance with Alpha Suit.
Upon arrival, McKee presents customers with hundreds of fabrics to choose from in any style, helping to create the best looking suit based on individual preferences. McKee stated that his services offer something above and beyond what can be found in a typical department store.
“Off the rack clothing is made for everybody, so it doesn’t fit anybody,” he explained. “Customized suits are for anyone.”
Custom suits at Alpha Suit start at $479, and students are eligible for a 10% discount.
