    Allegiant Announces Year-Round Flights to Sarasota, Florida

    Allegiant has announced new nonstop service to Sarasota, Florida via Rickenbacker International Airport (LCK) to Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport (SRQ). The year-round, twice weekly service will begin April 4, 2019.

    “Sarasota offers attractive options for Central Ohioans who vacation on Florida’s Gulf Coast, and the early April launch is perfect timing for spring break travel,” said Joseph R. Nardone, president & CEO of the Columbus Regional Airport Authority, in a press release. “We thank Allegiant for recognizing the opportunity to provide this service and for their commitment to our region.”

    “We’re thrilled to grow again in Columbus,” said Drew Wells, Allegiant vice president of planning and revenue. “We’re sure that area travelers will enjoy getting away to beautiful Sarasota on these convenient, nonstop, ultra-low-cost flights.”

    Sarasota is Allegiant’s seventh Florida destination served from Rickenbacker and 11th overall, including seasonal flights to Savannah, Myrtle Beach, Austin, and New Orleans.

    Allegiant is also offering one-way fares as low as $55 for customers who purchase tickets by Nov. 14, 2018, for travel by Aug. 13, 2019.
