Add another in the rooftop bar and patio column for Columbus. Lumin SkyBar will open this summer atop the eighth floor of the new AC Hotel Downtown at 517 Park St.
Spanish-style tapas, craft cocktails and wine will be highlights of the menu.
“AC Hotels take European and Spanish inspiration, as the founder and president of the brand is from Spain,” says Food & Beverage Manager Makenzie Skinner. “Lumin takes that influence throughout décor and small plates and shareables in a tapas style.”
Though Spanish-influenced, many ingredients will be locally-sourced. The Harissa and Avocado Toast will utilize fresh-daily local sourdough and herbs from the restaurant’s rooftop garden. North Country Charcuterie’s Rojizo Chorizo and Hoguera Spreadable Chorizo will be featured on the Charcuteria board, along with manchego cheeses and crostinis.
Rounding out the menu are small plates like empanadas, heirloom tomatoes & burrata, meatball cazuela, crispy calamari and more.
The cocktail menu features a lineup of classics with a twist, like the Signature Gin & Tonic, Edison Old Fashioned, Smoked Manhattan and more. The bar will also feature a kegged cocktail and the Skyview Porthole, a sharable cocktail with vodka and lillet blanc infused with chard lemons, honeycomb and ginger.
The 160-room hotel sits on the former site of the Park Street Complex, incorporating facades from the existing buildings.
Lumin SkyBar won’t be the only drinking and dining option in the building. Chris Corso will make his return to Park Street with four concepts opened in partnership with the AC Hotel.
The property is slated for a June 3 opening. Lumin SkyBar will operate from 4 – 10 p.m. weekdays and 4 – 11 p.m. on the weekends. At opening, seating will be reservation-only.
