If you don’t grow your own food or already support a CSA, local Farmers Markets give you a chance to get some of the best home grown food around. Here’s an updated 2018 list for you to get the best produce grown here in Columbus and our surrounding areas. Enjoy supporting your local farmers while feasting on the freshest foods!

Columbus Public Health Market, The Markets will be 10am to 1pm on: Thursday, July 26; Thursday, August 2; and Thursday, August 9 on the CPH front lawn 240 Parsons Ave.

Delaware Farmers’ Market: The Main Street Farmer’s Market (Historic downtown Delaware), 2018 season will begin on Saturday, May 26 and run through Saturday, October 27, weather permitting. The popular markets will run from 9:30am to 12:30pm on Saturdays and from 3pm to 6pm on Wednesdays. Wednesday markets will begin after May 31. The sidewalk markets are conducted on the shady side of Sandusky Street in the heart of Historic Downtown Delaware. Income-eligible senior citizens can get vouchers for farmers’ market foods from the Delaware County Council for Older Adults.

The Dublin Market, NEW! The Dublin Market will be held from 9am-12pm at Bridge Park in Dublin, every Saturday from June through September. Rain or shine. It will include delicious baked goods, fresh produce, flowers, live entertainment, numerous nearby establishments, and the convenience of free parking.

Easton Farmers Market To-Go, Easton has teamed up with local Yellowbird Foodshed this year for a new experience. Yellowbird is a Weekly Food Box program that partners with
a network of small, sustainable Ohio farms to provide Central Ohio with fresh, quality food that is grown with intention. They want you to know where your food is coming from and to provide a clear connection from farm to fork. Sign up at yellowbirdfs.com.

Franklin Park Conservatory Farmers’ Market, Wednesdays, June 6–September 5, 3:30pm to 6:30pm. (No market will be held on July 4th in observance of Independence Day.) The Conservatory’s Farmers’ Market is located outdoors in the main Conservatory parking lot, just off of East Broad Street and two miles east of downtown Columbus. The Farmers’ Market offers a mix of local produce, baked goods, specialty foods, and health and beauty products. The Market accepts EBT for all qualifying purchases and offer incentive dollars through the Produce Perks Columbus program (formerly known as Veggie SNAPS) for fresh produce for all EBT users. Additional programming and information is also offered to patrons, such as cooking and wellness demonstrations and kids’ crafts.

Franklinton Farm Stand/Franklinton Farms, The Franklinton Farm Stand is currently closed. For those who live and work in Franklinton, Franklinton Farms offers ‘Mobile Market’ – an email based delivery service where Franklinton Farms contacts those who are signed up on a weekly basis with what they have freshly harvested. Orders can be placed and are delivered on Friday or the next Monday or Tuesday. Franklinton Farms also offers the Fresh This Week program where they offer an order-ahead for pickup at Worthington or pickup in Franklinton for anyone on Fridays. They also participate in the Worthington Farmers Market.

German Village Makers Market, NEW! Opening day is Sunday, April 29 from 11am to 4pm. Join us at the corner of City Park and Thurman for an Artisan Outdoor Market. Artists, designers, growers. A wide variety of products available. Like them on Facebook.

Grandview Avenue Farmers Market, Grandview Avenue Farmer’s Market is run by The Pearl Alley Growers’ Association. It runs on Saturdays from 10am to 1pm from July to October. Located on Grandview avenue next to the post office. Like them on Facebook.

Granville Farmers’ Market, Saturdays, May 5 to October 27; 8:30am to noon; North Main Street and Broadway, although please check the calendar for dates where the location will move to St. Edward’s Catholic Church. Celebrating 25 years. Has been called the “best in Central Ohio.” Located 30 miles east of Columbus. More than 60 vendors this year. In addition to the weekend market, the Granville Area Chamber of Commerce also sponsors a Tuesday market beginning June 12, 2018 and runs thru September 25, 2018 in the parking lot of Ross’s Granville Market (IGA). Grove City Farmers’ Market, Saturdays, May 19 – September 8. Historic Grove City Town Center | Corner of Broadway and Park Street Grove City, Ohio 43123, 8am-12pm Enjoy fresh produce, locally raised meats, homemade jams and jellies, baked goods, and more!

Hilliard Farm Market, located at Hilliard United Methodist Church at 5445 Scioto Darby Rd., Hilliard, OH, Every Tuesday 4-7pm, June 5th – September 11th. Like them on Facebook.
