WOSU to Relocate TV and Radio Studios to 15th and High District

Local TV and radio production studios will call the 15th and High area home in the near future, as representatives from WOSU announced today that the organization is planning a relocation of their operations. Currently, WOSU Radio is based in the basement of The Fawcett Center on Olentangy River Road while WOSU TV is set up inside COSI.

“We’ve enjoyed a successful 10-year partnership with COSI and are excited to maintain a presence at the museum while also pursuing our new vision,” said Tom Rieland, General Manager of WOSU Public Media. “The goal for WOSU is to build a new facility as part of the 15th and High district.”

The 15th and High District was unveiled in June by Campus Partners, detailing the large-scale redevelopment plans for the High Street blocks between 14th Avenue and 17th Avenue. The plans call for the construction of multiple new buildings containing apartments, offices, retail, a hotel, parking garages and an outdoor public square.

WOSU doesn’t have specific plans at this point as to how their studios and offices will fit into the development plans, or what kind of building they would be located in. During the short-term, WOSU TV will relocate from COSI to the Fawcett Center so that all operations are under one roof again.
