Once again, your duties as a voter are requested tomorrow when you’ll be asked to go to the polls to vote for a variety of local issues and primary elections. The largest issue on the ballot is the Metro Parks Tax Levy, which would implement a 10-year property tax of approximately $23 per year per $100,000 of your property value that would go toward maintaining and operating the metro park system throughout the region.
Polls will be open from 6:30am to 7:30pm throughout Frankin County.
Other issues include tax levies in Grandview, Canal Winchester, Delaware County, Reynoldsburg, Westerville, Worthington, and several other cities and townships. A full list of issues can be found here (PDF).
Additional information about issues, candidates, polling places, and other proceedures can all be found online at Vote.FranklinCountyOhio.Gov.

From the Mailbag: Metroparks levy means trail updates
I hope you’ll vote tomorrow and vote yes for the Metroparks levy. The levy will fund maintenance and development of the trail system. Also, Metroparks is planning to take over maintenance of all Columbus trails, which will counteract the city’s budget problems which may limit that maintenance.

Am I reading the documents at the Franklin Co. BOE correctly? Is the Parks issue the only issue appearing on the ballot if you live in the city of Columbus?
It appears that the primaries all have fewer people running than the number that can be nominated, and thus do not appear on the ballot. The only thing I see besides Issue 1 is approving a liquor permit if you live in 1 of 2 specific voting areas…is this correct?
