“From an industry perspective, this award shows that our team and community focus is working to allow us to compete with some of the largest and most successful salons in the nation,” said Virtue owner Melanie Guzzo. “We’re focused on empowering young professionals to focus on ‘purpose before profit’. Knowing that this is what drives our team and our business, we feel honored that our approach is working, so this award means that we can continue to approach business in a different way and continue to grow.”

Salon Today recognized Virtue Salon in the category of ‘Growth’. The company saw an 18% increase in sales, climbing from $509,000 in 2013 to $602,000 in 2014. Guzzo recently shared some of the secrets of her success with TheMetropreneur.com, providing an inspirational inside look for others looking to grow a small business in Columbus.
