Top Arts Organizations in Columbus of 2015
Local arts organizations come in all shapes, sizes and disciplines. Some support large theatrical productions, while others focus on a small niche discipline within a specific community. The Greater Columbus Arts Council (GCAC) is one of the arts organization that supports all others in Columbus, which is one of the reasons our readers placed it at the top of their list in our Best of 2015 survey. GCAC was created to support the arts in Columbus through grants, funding, marketing and advocacy. In addition to ongoing financial programs, GCAC hosts the annual Columbus Arts Festival, one of the largest summer events in the city. The organization made an even bigger splash in 2015 with the “Art Makes Columbus” campaign — the largest marketing effort ever undertaken in the history of the city.
