Easton getting Tiffany & Co.
Store will be chain’s second in Ohio

Easton Town Center has landed Ohio’s second Tiffany & Co. store, as the retail development continues to make way for more luxury tenants.
In November, the jeweler will open a prominent two-story store on the center’s square, across from the high-end steakhouse Smith & Wollensky. The store will be larger than most of Tiffany’s 75 stores in the United States, with a design unlike any of its other locations.
The opportunity to secure such a prime spot brought Tiffany executives back to Columbus for discussions last year, after they originally considered Easton about six years ago, said Beth Canavan, Tiffany’s executive vice president.
I’m so excited. I love Tiffany’s. Their silver jewelry is gorgeous and not that bad price-wise. It’s in the biz section of today’s Dispatch.

Easton getting Tiffany & Co.

I do think this is great, but I was hoping this would be one of the stores put downtown.
I would have liked to see this downtown as well. :(
From this guy’s perspective, that store is one thing this city doesn’t need!

I’m tellin’ ya, this is a full on red alert man threat… my advice to all guys: Think of the sweetest man toy you’ve been dreaming about forever. Now go buy it, before this store arrives. Bonus points if your toy involves hideously large payments spread out over a number of years… you’re buying yourself more time.
Preemptive financial foolishness… it’s the way to go. And don’t forget- you can drive Porsche, but a 10 karat tennis bracelet just sits there, taunting you with it’s thousands of dollars worth of ostentatious inertness. :P

I do want that BMW F800GS, like bad.
Do not hesitate. DO IT NOW!!!!!!!
diamonds… because nothing says i love you like a superficial, over-valued rock clawed from the guts of the earth by slave labor.
You should srsly go into advertising.
There was one in downtown Cincy and Tiffany’s is a downtown store….I just wish Easton would go away really. A cluster of madness and too much Victoria Secret concepts…blech.
Tiffany’s at the new Polaris expansion would have been nice if they felt they needed to be in a mall. Saks & Tiffany’s go really well together–

I definitely like Easton better than Polaris. At least Easton is somewhat interesting to stroll around when it isn’t horribly crowded. Polaris is just another mall to me. And the employees at Sak’s can suck it. They are always so rude and arrogant. I’d go to Easton and give my money to Nordstrom any day over those tools.
Of course, I’m addicted to the skivvies at VS so maybe I’m just biased by the giant store at Easton.
Howver, I think Tiffany downtown would have been cool. However, I can’t afford it no matter where they put it. :D
YEAHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am so happy. Not everything at Tiffany’s is really expensive. I have some of their silver pieces of jewelry and those tend be pretty affordable. I have received/bought all of them as a way to “mark” a special occasion or holiday. I have found this to be a better gift to get because I can wear silver everyday. I don’t necessarily feel the same about other pieces of jewelry I have received.

This is true. I have a necklace and bracelet from there that I wear daily. They have a sterling ring that is kind of mesh-like that I want that is maybe $150 or so. However, unless Columbia Gas will let me skip paying for my heat so that I can have cute stuff, there’s no new stuff for me.

Weren’t you listening to Drew? You’re supposed to get your other half to do the spending there for you. Apparently that’s how this works. Unless, of course, you find out that he’s recently bought himself an Aston Martin on a 40-year payment plan.
Really? Actually, they’ve generally been pretty nice to me … trying to be helpful without being overly pushy, though sometimes they go a little far on the latter. (But what do you expect in sales?)
It’s the prices, not the people, that are mean there. :(

1. I would never expect my bf to buy my jewelry for me unless it was his idea and he wanted to.
2. I have had bad experiences at Sak’s here and in TX so I just avoid it. Of course I’m not really running in there all that much because, as you said, those price tags aren’t very nice. :( I am sure that not everyone that works there sucks though.
Holly Golightly: Thursday! It can’t be! It’s too gruesome!
Paul Varjak: What’s so gruesome about Thursday?
Holly Golightly: Nothing, except I can never remember when it’s coming up.

I have that ring. I love it. I bought it for myself with a Christmas bonus a couple of years ago. Yeah bonus!
Glad to see Tiffany & Co. coming to Cbus. They have a men’s watch on their website for $13,350, I need a Valentine’s Day gift.
I am so excited to finally have a Tiffany & Co. nearby. I do all my shopping there, so life in central ohio has been tough without one (they don’t have all the essentials like bread & eggs, but i make do) yippee!
Yeah, I’ve been to the Tiffany’s in Cincy. I like that it’s downtown and wish the Columbus one was downtown as well. It’s definitely a destination store that people will drive to no matter where it’s located. I doubt they benefit much from having foot traffic.
As for Easton, I like the layout and concept. I know it’s a “faux” town center, but I’d love to see that sort of enthusiasm for going back to “town center style shopping” applied to a revamped and open-air City Center, which would be a REAL town center and would be able to mix office and residential and artistic space in ways that Easton does not.
