For the third and final year, our readers and editors named Independents’ Day as the best festival in Columbus. The organizers of this popular local event announced in March that this year would be the 10th and final installment so that their individual projects could receive more attention in the future.
“These smaller projects can take place in any neighborhood and may even cater to a specific discipline, like a dedicated day for the city’s chefs,” wrote CU Writer Lauren Sega when covering the announcement.
Local music and festival fans will have to wait a bit longer to find out what the future may hold for the remnants of Independents’ Day moving forward in 2018.
