These days in Columbus, it’s not a question of ‘have you tried a food truck yet?’ it’s ‘which truck haven’t you tried?’ This weekend, you’ll be able to try over 50 food trucks or carts at Ohio Village inside of the Ohio Historical Center.

Photos from last year's festival.
The Festival takes place on Saturday, August 25th from 11am–8pm and Sunday, August 26th 11am-6pm.
A few of the trucks you’ll be able to try include: Ray Ray’s BBQ, Street Thyme, Cup Cakes a go-go, Tatoheads, Pitabilities, Short North Bagel Deli, Hungry Monkey Truck, Juniors Tacos, The Burrito Bus, El taco Petan, Paddy Wagon.
If you’d like to do a little shopping, there will be crafters set up. A few of the vendors include: Ghetto Vintage, Poor Sparrow, 8 bit apparel, What the Rock?!, Destiny Designs, Backyard Living, Green Handle Designs, Thread, Refresh Accessories, Mad Hat Parties, Desired Designs Crocheted Goods, Calamity Shop, 3Ply, Savannah Rose Handbags, Igloo Letterpress, Homohio Tees, & Take Wrning Jewelry!
Part of the proceeds of the festival will benefit the Mid-Ohio Foodbank. You’ll also hear live music and be able to play in a KidZone. Band and live music lineup- on Saturday: Fran Litterski, Post Coma Network & Andy Shaw Band. Sunday: The Weight of Whales, Winter Makes Sailors & The Shaw Brothers.
On Saturday, once you’ve had fun at the festival, support the Columbus Crew with a special ticket deal: The Crew takes on the New England Revolution at 7:30pm. Special features are $1 Bud and Bud Light Drafts and $1 Bob Evans Brats. Click here to purchase tickets. Use the password “historical” for the $23 lower ($9 savings) and $17 upper level ($10 savings) seats.
The Ohio Food Truck Festival will have a bike corral, so ride your bike and save on that parking fee! The Festival is free, but parking is $6 per car (unless you are a member of the Ohio Historical Society, then it is waived). Ohio Village is on the north end of the Ohio Historical Society campus, located at 800 E. 17th Avenue, Columbus, Ohio 43211. If you’d like to RSVP on Facebook, click here. I am confused by the ‘resurgence’ part?
Thanks for the great write up!! As of now there is no bike corral but all around the site the Ohio Historical Center has plenty of placed to lock up your wheels! See you this weekend!
This one should be fun! The site is great (walked through earlier in the year for an event that we had to table) and there will be some newer food trucks in the mix for the weekend.
As for the resurgence…..a couple spins on that – maybe a resurgence of mobile food in general – it was big in the 1920′s and is definitely on the upswing here in CMH.
