I was tipped off yesterday about some possible movement on the very quiet Buster Douglas Condo Project on Main Street. There’s a sign up on the site pointing eyeballs towards informationless GreenBridgeColumbus.com website. (Coming Soon!) The tipster also spotted a construction trailer and some pickup trucks on site. Could this project be getting ready to break ground? Anyone else have any details?

I saw the sign on the lot last week but couldn’t get the website to come up. The last that I heard, this was going to be a Recchie project. If that is still the case, I wouldn’t expect anything to happen soon.
That would explain the nice signage – they’ve had several very nice banners promoting their other non-existent developments.

Buster later made it back to the 3.5 acres he bought 16 years ago after receiving a letter from a girl living in a homeless shelter on the Near East Side. She had asked him to make her world a better place.
He refuses to quit on her. He even mows this grass with his sons while his business partners work to find private funding and grapple with the city over $1.4 million in public money to improve the property.
Douglas has had other plans for the property over the years, but those all failed. His developer now says they are “very close” to construction on the southern edge of the Olde Towne East neighborhood.
The project would include retail businesses and 72 town houses priced between $175,000 and $200,000.
