After circling Downtown Columbus for the last several years, opening in Dublin, New Albany, Gahanna and Hilliard, The Goat will soon open its newest location at the LC RiverSouth. The restaurant and bar, first opening in 2005, will open its doors at 219 S. High St. on February 1.

Occupying a space of over 6,500 square feet, The Goat boasts a large bar and dining room, as well as a large patio featuring an infinity pool and deck. Within a rustic-industrial design, the restaurant will offer lunch, dinner and late night menus all week and brunch on Saturdays and Sundays. They’re expansive menus, covering all the bases, including appetizers, salads, burgers, wraps, pizzas, wings and sweets.

The Goat’s opening will be somewhat of an ongoing event, beginning on Thursday February 1 at 4 p.m. On Friday, they’ll have live music from 9 to 11 p.m., courtesy of the Vindy’s, an alt-rock band from northeast Ohio. Saturday, The Goat will host brunch starting at 10 a.m., and they’ll finish the weekend out on Sunday with a showing of the Super Bowl game at 6:30 p.m.

More events will follow the grand opening, “aimed at introducing The Goat at LC RiverSouth to our hometown,” said Ana Titus, Lifestyle Communities (LC) Corporate Communications director. “A full schedule of live music performances will accompany various happy hour specials, making The Goat an ideal spot for post-work cocktails, shareables, and evening entertainment.”
