The Gilded Age, a jewelry and gift shop, is opening in the Dakota Building at 847 N. High St. on Friday, November 2nd, in time for the November Short North Gallery Hop. The Gilded Age made a one day appearance for the October Hop in the unfinished space to introduce Columbus to its collection of highly unique and wearable jewelry and gifts.
The jewelry collection includes designers such as Ili Designs by Anna Balkin and Zina Sterling Silver featuring handcrafted pieces made with unusual cut precious and semi-precious gemstones as well as pearls, antique carved jade, Baltic amber, Swarovski crystal, and carved wood and bone.
In addition to ladies jewelry and watches, The Gilded Age will also be carrying a selection of men’s jewelry and watches to cater to Short North and Victorian Village residents. The store will also carry women’s purses, unique gifts, antiques and art. Owner Todd Dugle opened the first The Gilded Age on Mt Adams in Cincinnati.
