Pastimes Pub & Grill has just opened a brand new location at 6481 North Hamilton Road, and this spot is twice the size of the original. Launched on September 4th, Pastimes New Albany is a game-watching destination. Everywhere you turn, there’s a television, even on the patio, where 3 screens are dedicated for the outside crowd.

The clientele at Pastimes is cool, a fun mix of Buckeyes of all ages, the kind of joint you go to when the game is just as important as the people you watch it with. You can’t help but make friends at Pastimes New Albany, a real plus when looking for a favorite spot to cheer your favorite team.

Customers swear by the Spicy Ranch Parmesan Wings, decent-sized mouthfuls that come glazed in a savory sauce and finished with cheese. And it’s easy to taste why. The combination is sharp and smooth, rich and piquant, and utterly satisfying. The flavor even made the crunchy celery taste better, negating the need for the ranch dressing with which they’re served.

Wings tossed in their Hot sauce, the closest of their 36 sauce offerings to the buffalo flavor, are bold, with a much more in-your-face vinegariness and heat. This may be because their saucing does not seem to contain butter, which traditionally cuts the acerbity of the hot sauce. Fans of zestier sauces would enjoy these.

Pastimes New Albany opens at 11am daily. On Sundays, wings are only $0.49, so swing by and check out the new digs.
