LOL…Swan even kind of looks like the 6 minute champion of all time. The only thing more disgusting than him eating pie was watching the bread/water/coffee mixture being sipped like kool-aid.
Both will haunt my dreams for many days to come.
BTW, I’m FINALLY feeling like I may eat again…which I haven’t since.
How dare you compare Josh Matko to an ordinary mortal??
Now an honest, swear-to-god true anecdote: Last night I dreamed about finishing the Dagwood. Apparently, not finishing was a big enough blow to my ego that my mind thought it had to pave over the damage.
i think we need josh matko to attend the meetup wed so we can all bask in his glory. i demand to see him eat a burrito in under a minute.
WHO DARES MAKE DEMANDS OF THE MIGHTY
WIZARD OF OZJOSH MATKOHe’s (hopefully) in talks with Walker right now, trying to figure out if our love of his achievement is honest or not.
He seems like a popular guy going by facebook… hmm, I wonder if we can split him off into a mascot somehow, so he doesn’t have to deal with our insignificant questions on a daily basis.
I think it only natural that I challenge Mr. Matko. Maybe the event can be held in St. Johns Arena, maybe celebrity appearances by Obama and Mayor Coleman, and Mike Reed.
Josh Matko is Cabot Rea’s illegitamet child.
I heard that Obama called Zack to congratulate him.
Hi-larious! I’m so sorry I missed this (although I did see some of the aftermath at Mercurious’s later.) I would also like to give props to Skreened for the comedic relief. LMAO at the singing and walking and hopping up and down.
But where o where was the appearance of osulew’s tongue??
Now you understand why I was such a wreck!
I’m curious – does anyone know how Swan was feeling Sunday morning? Eating pie after all of that was impressive.
haha i was dancing at bristol saturday night. felt fine… although i didnt eat for a solid 36 hours afterwards. it was big fun.
It was an honor to compete among such greatness, I am humbled.
I ate at least 75% of that lunchmeat, that bread though, no way.
I don’t think I want to eat lunchmeat for a very long time. Especially wet salty ham.
Oh yeah, I’m still full.
Great ending to the video, music and all.
“pretty much the best day of my life” still has me cracking up
Great video, sorry I couldn’t be there :(
I tried to do waaaay too many things that morning and it all backfired.
that was awesome. Sorry I missed it
I had sent an e-mail over to John Corby at 610 WTVN about the Challenge…we’re now linked off of his page ;)

ive been getting A LOT of random texts and facebook messages and such from people i havent spoken to in awhile saying they saw me in the video and congratulating me… there are far more lurkers than i ever imagined on this board.
Hi gang,
I’m new to CUG, but a longtime friend of CMH Gourmand. I had the opportunity to defeat the Dagwood a few years ago. I couldn’t help but notice that the Dagwood looks much more intimidating, but also more enticing, now than in the past.
Congratulations to all of you bold enough to try, successful or not, and to those of you smart enough to know better.
