I just received word this morning via email that another new business will be opening up on Long Street soon in the up-and-coming King Lincoln District.
The Book Suite is scheduled to open the first week of September at 887 East Long Street, next door to the Urban Spirit Coffee Shop. Few details are available on their website, but we’ll post more information soon as well as a Grand Opening date for anyone interested in attending.

Just overheard that the Monroe Cluster fell through. :? Would make sense since the sign is gone as is the website. And I did check out the book store. A little small, but they’re working on expanding their inventory. And there’s coffee.
I stopped in The Book Suite on Saturday. Cute little shop. Chatted with the owner for awhile, who said they were a “work in progress” and was seeking suggestions for books, genres, and anything else that neighbors would like to find there.
She also mentioned that they can get any book ordered usually within 2-3 days, which is awesome. I’d rather order from a local shop and wait a few days than make the drive to a chain bookstore somewhere else in town.
They have a cute kids section too.
Just checked out the website. Three authors in over opening weekend? That’s great!
Columbus has an embarrassing lack of independent booksellers (ESPECIALLY considering we are a university town!! Don’t those college kids read?). I’d like to see this place succeed. I’ll have to stop in this week.
