Here’s a quick preview of several of the treats that will be featured at the event:

    From The Table

The pastry chefs from The Table in the Short North will be showcasing two types of desserts at Best Bites: Sweet Treats. One is a brownie with whipped peanut butter mousse, and the other is a cream puffs filled with OYO Stonefruit Vodka whipped cream.

Ice Cream with Mix and Match Topping Bar
    From Graeter’s Ice Cream

Our friends at Graeter’s will be showcasing several of their signature handcrafted flavors, including Madagascar Vanilla Bean, Dutch Milk Chocolate and Salted Caramel. They’ll also have a portable version of their Mix and Match Topping Bar on side, which includes homemade Bittersweet, Peanut Butter and Marshmallow toppings.

    Buckeyes and Bacon Peanut Brittle

Clintonville’s Eagle Family Candy shop will feature two classic treats during this year’s edition of Best Bites: Sweet Treats. One is their chocolate-and-peanut-butter Buckeye, made from a secret family recipe. The other is a bacon peanut brittle, infused with smoke and heat!

    Coffee Samplers
    From Stauf’s and Thunderkiss

What would dessert be without coffee? We’ve got not one, but two local coffee roasters who will be on hand to provide samples. Thunderkiss will be showcasing their Sweet French roast, their El Salvador single farm coffee, and their cold brew toddy. Stauf’s will have on hand their Costa Rica La Pastora Tarrazu and their Ethiopia Bebeka Estate Natural Geisha, as well as bite-sized bakery samples of their coffee cake muffins and apple cinnamon scone bites.

Advance tickets to the event are $30, which includes unlimited sweet treat samples and a cash bar featuring Crafthouse Cocktails as well as beer and wine options. Tickets are expected to sell out.  A portion of the proceeds from all ticket sales will be donated to the The Columbus Foundation’s Gifts of Kindness Fund.
