A quiet commercial strip in the heart of Upper Arlington is becoming more of a destination with the opening of The Barrel Wine Bar next door to sister-establishment, Park Creek Kitchen.
“I wanted to expand the restaurant,” said Park Creek Kitchen Chef Jeff Headley. “This new wine bar provides us with a larger selection of wine, an excellent private space for hosting events and another option for dining in the area.”
Park Creek Kitchen and The Barrel share an interior connection that can be opened for restaurant use or closed off for separated events. The Barrel also has its own Italian-centric menu, which features cheeses, antipasto and daily pasta selections.
“It feels more like a local wine bar with option to purchase bottles of wine, to go food and catering. My brother and i built and handcrafted the whole facility. So we expanded and redesigned the original restaurant to make it more modern.
The Barrel Wine Bar is open Tuesday through Sunday from noon to 10pm at 2124 Arlington Avenue.
