Best Burger in Ohio Hunt - Graffiti Burger Edition

Over two years ago, Lisa the Waitress set out to find the best burger in all of Ohio and chronicle her results at RestaurantWidow.com. We’ve been closely following her results when it comes to Central Ohio burgers, but her journey has also taken her Cincinnati and Lima. After about a year of hiatus, the burger reviews continue with a look at local newcomer Graffiti Burger, and it sounds like she’s impressed with what she found.

You can read her full review HERE.

The Hunt for the Best Brunch in Columbus

From Restaurant Widow:

The Big Brunch Hunt - Banana Bean

In our quest to find the best brunch in the city of Columbus, the Brave Brunching Big Ladies met up at Banana Bean last week.  Banana Bean began life as a tiny little spot on Whittier Street in German Village where you didn’t have a hope of getting in for brunch unless you had a reservation a week out.  That success allowed them to open a second location on Greenlawn avenue close to Thurns.

Cafe Corner review on RestaurantWidow.com

From RestaurantWidow.com:

If there is one restaurant I’ve received the most suggestions and recommendations on, it’s probably Cafe Corner.  Cafe Corner is located on 3rd Ave at Pennsylvania.  I think I might have been a little bitter because I used to live on Pennsylvania at 2nd and there was nothing in the neighborhood at the time.  I used to see that little boarded up building and think of what a great little coffee shop it would be.  So it’s fitting that a few years after I moved out of Harrison West, Cafe Corner would open up.  Isn’t that the way it goes?

Restaurant Widow’s Updates from Bocuse d’Or

RestaurantWidow.com wrote Bocuse, Day One

Posted by Lisa the Waitress on Friday, September 26, 2008

WOW. What a day. I saw almost every famous chef in the western hemisphere, stood next to Hung almost all day, saw lots of little girls dressed as various Diz princesses, saw Chef Mickey Mouse, heard John Besh call Hartmut Handke mean and angry looking, ate foie gras on brioche, had free champagne, was given a tin of foie gras (don’t worry, Husband, I’m saving it), took 500 pictures, stood in the hot sun way longer than I would have liked, waiting for the shuttle back to the hotel (tomorrow I’m totally driving), and drank beer on the rocks. I met a man whose wife reads my website here in Orlando, and I heard an emcee misprounce Chef Sbraga’s name so many times that finally the Philadelphia contingent screamed out “SBRAH - GUH!!”
