We are counting down the days until Columbus Underground’s sweetest event! The Sweet Treats Dessert Festival is coming back to celebrate all things sweet! The event will feature sweets from some of Columbus’ best treat makers, dessert-themed shopping experiences, a cash bar featuring Dutch Creek Winery and much more! We are so excited we have to share some of the delicious treats you will be able to try on Saturday, February 3 at The Exchange at Bridge Park!

J-POPS will be returning to the event this year with their handcrafted ice pops in their winning flavor: Lemon Basil ice pops, a crowd favorite year after year! The refreshing pop is made with freshly squeezed lemonade blended with locally grown basil from Jorgensen Farms. Founded in 2011, J-POPS continues to grow their list of over 50 flavors. Each pop is made with fresh ingredients. They are all-natural, gluten free, and have no additives, coloring or preservatives. Amazingly delicious, the average pop has only four ingredients.

Mrs. Turbo’s Cookies is a retro-themed 50s-style bakery that offers handcrafted gourmet cookies made from scratch. Their thick and chewy cookies are all natural with no trans-fat, no additives or preservatives. These treats can be found at their storefront in Gahanna or ordered online. At the Dessert Festival, Mrs. Turbos’s will be featuring samples of a variety of cookies and cupcakes, plus their signature oatmeal cream pies. (Bonus these are gluten-free!)

The Angry Baker Cakes And Pastries is giving us what we all want, more sweets from the beloved local shop! The third location for the Angry Baker gang was recently opened in the Short North. The bakery will be the main hub for all Angry Baker baked treats. Guests can stop in to pick-up goodies on the go, or order specialty items ahead of time. At the Dessert Festival, Angry Baker will be treating us all to a variety of mini vegan donuts!

Black Velvet Desserts specializes in sweets that taste and look dazzling! Working out of the 1400 Food Lab, they produce specialty treats that are crafted to perfection. They make everything from wedding cakes to individual tarts. You can place an order to try their treats at pop-up events (like this one!). At the Dessert Festival they will be serving up tastes of their Cafe’ Mocha Bavarian Cream Tart. Yum!

Each ticket gets guests access to the full event and a treated sample from each local sweets maker. Tickets are $15 and available for two timed sessions noon – 2 p.m. or 2 – 4 p.m. A limited number of Early Bird tickets are going fast, but are still available for $25 and give guests exclusive access to the event from 11 a.m. – noon (on top of the noon – 2 p.m. session). We are excited to give back a portion of the ticket sales to the Gifts of Kindness Fund again this year!

Plus, our friends at Whole Foods Market will be onsite treating each guest to a salty snack with their DIY trail mix bar.
