Sway Brings New Nightclub Offering to Downtown

By: Walker

The venue located on Vine Street behind Cameron Mitchell’s Martini Modern Italian restaurant is no stranger to nightlife. This space was once home to the popular Carlile Club, and more recently the Mynt Ultralounge. Starting on Friday, it will take on a new life as Sway, a new club with a focus on martinis, tapas and nightlife.

Similar to its predecessors, Sway will feature a split environment between the more laid-back street-level lounge and the downstairs basement nightclub. The new venue boasts three separate bars, VIP bottle service, an elevated DJ booth, valet service and a state-of-the-art sound and lighting system.

“The upstairs area features a made from scratch tapas menu and will cater to the young business professional looking for a relaxing intimate environment to entertain a client or date,” said Michael Mercer, Director of Operations at Peerless Management Group, operators of Sway as well as other nearby entertainment venues including BBR and The Garage Bar. “The Downstairs music concept is more fast-paced electronic mash-up, intended for the sophisticated nightlife goer.”

The upstairs area of Sway will be open Monday through Saturday, 3pm to 2:30am, with the Downstairs area open only on Tuesday, Fridays and Saturdays from 9pm to 2:30am. The grand opening takes place this Friday, June 22nd at 4pm and will feature complimentary d’oeuvres. The downstairs area will open on Friday at 9pm.
