Swan Cleaners Opening Dry Cleaner Location at Columbus Commons

When it was first announced that the building that houses the Swan Cleaner laundry service would be demolished to make way for a new 11-story mixed-use apartment tower, some people expressed concern that Downtown would lose another dry cleaning service. Today, representatives from Swan Cleaners officially put those fears to rest, announcing that they’re in the process of relocating the building just two blocks north to 146 S. High St. in the Highpoint at Columbus Commons building.

Additionally, the new location will feature a new store concept known as “The Locker Valet.” The store will come equipped with over 50 lockers that customers can use to pick up and drop off garments for cleaning with 24/7 access.

“We are excited to offer this first-of-its-kind service to our Downtown clientele,” said Swan Cleaners President Paul Gelpi. “With more people living Downtown, we are catering to the ‘on-demand’ customer with our concierge wash, dry and fold service. Now, busy customers can do two weeks of laundry in about two minutes.”

Swan Cleaners officially moved out of its old location at 255 S. High St. on February 20, and is slated to open the new store sometime in mid-May. In the meantime, Swan Cleaners expanded their services nearby to better serve Downtown customers in the interim.
