    Supreme Clothiers Opens Downtown Store

Local menswear retailer Supreme Clothiers is hosting a grand opening celebration tonight at its new store, located downtown at 143 E. Main St. in the former TJazz Fashion space.

The four-hour shopping event kicks off at 5 p.m. and is open to the public.

Though Supreme Clothiers has had success with an online store for more than two years, its owner, Rick Williams, said he opened the 1,400-square-foot brick-and-mortar store to cater to customers who prefer seeing clothes in person and trying them before buying.

Supreme Clothiers offers men’s suits, dress shirts, ties, and dress shoes, as well as casual wear, in standard and big and tall sizes.

“I’m a big man myself, 6’4″ and about 300 pounds,” Williams said, adding that he doesn’t think men like him have many high-quality, upscale retail options in the area− something he hopes his store can address.

All suits purchased at Supreme Clothiers can be altered in-store free of charge and tonight shoppers can enter a drawing to win a free suit, dress shirt, and tie.
