The weather is nice enough that outdoor movie viewings and get-togethers have returned for 2013. The outdoor movie season starts tonight in Bexley with Madagascar 3. So get your favorite drinks, pop up some popcorn, get out the blankets and enjoy!
The Main Event in Bexley. Incorporates Movies on Main (a free, outdoor movie series on Capital University’s main lawn) into the festivities.

5th Annual Screen on the Green, Goodale Park
At the softball diamond in the southwest corner of Goodale Park. All movies begin at sundown and will be preceded by a half hour of classic cartoons. Each film will also feature themed contests and activities that encourage audience participation. A variety of food trucks and carts will sell refreshments, as organized by Food Fort Columbus. Attendees are encouraged to bring blankets, lawn chairs, and flashlights. There are no rain dates. Screen on the Green is free and open to the public. It’s made possible through organization and major funding by the Short North Civic Association, with additional funding by the Gateway Film Center and ComFest.

Free admission. All movies begin at dusk. No rain dates. Movies shown on grass area on 16’ x 9’ inflatable screen. Bring blankets,chairs and flashlights. Activities begin at 6:30pm; open cornhole and sand volleyball. No rain dates. Even though these are outdoor movies, please refrain from smoking and limited talking.
Movies on the Mile, Scioto Mile is not happening for 2013.
And if you want a more traditional Drive-In, head to the South Drive-in Theater at 3050 South High. Admission is $9 per adult and $1 for children under the age of 12. Movies usually change on Fridays.
