Strongwater Opens Event Space at 400 West Rich

The special events space at Strongwater Food and Spirits officially opened during Urban Scrawl back in August, and has hosted a handful of events since then, but starting this week the bar will be open on a more regular basis for thirsty visitors to 400 West Rich.

“Moving forward we’ll be open to the public Tuesday through Thursday from 5pm to 10pm,” explained 400 West Rich Project Manager Chris Sherman. “We’ll continue to host special events on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays. We’ve got a wedding happening this weekend.”

The event space is located in the middle section of the building with the entrance facing Lucas Street. A small bar inside services a large open area that features high ceilings, natural light, exposed brick and an ambiance appropriate to the large Franklinton warehouse.

“I’ll be around tonight giving tours of the space,” said Sherman. “If people want to see the front bar and rest of the space, we can show that off too.”

The front bar and restaurant (which is what is actually known as Strongwater Food & Sprits) faces Town Street and should be open sometime in the next few weeks. The kitchen is still under construction, but Sherman says that work is progressing quickly on the build out.
