Stauf’s Now Open in German Village

The process has taken a little bit longer than originally expected, but the new Stauf’s in German Village officially opened their doors this morning. Located at 627 South Third Street, the new coffee shop and roastery replaced the former Cup O Joe and MoJoe Lounge with the new brand. The result is a more coffee-centric business with more space for seating and a revamped space that is more modern in design with new tables, chairs, menu boards and a refreshed patio.

The space will continue to evolve in the coming weeks as interior and exterior work continues.

“We had a few of our updates denied for exterior updates, so we have to go back to the German Village Commission in October,” Stauf’s President Mark Swanson told Columbus Underground last week during the opening of the new North Market Stauf’s location.

The two new openings come on the heels of the closure of the Bexley location last weekend. The building that Cup O Joe was located in is expected to be razed to make way for a new four-story condo building.
