It’s time for another Photo Hunt contest! We’re headed back into the Short North for a second round of hunting. Keep in mind that we’ve got another prize: the first person to successfully name all 16 photo locations accurately will win a $50 Gift Card to Betty’s Fine Food and Spirits in The Short North!
Click here to take a look at the photos, and post your guesses in the comment section below. We’ll post some updates on which answers are right and which are wrong, so pay close attention if someone has already gotten a few of them named correctly. Good luck!
This contest has ended! Congrats to our winner!

Damn you kids! I had an early morning meeting and couldn’t play. You two took all the ones I knew.
Grrrrrrrrr. It better not rain after work, I may have to go snooping around the ‘hood.
come on bono pizza people!
i illegally parked at #7 on the side of the building many times.
i think…
This makes me feel like I walk around with my eyes closed. Great photos.
bjboose your onto something!
i hope this gets people out walking around and snooping in the alleys (hint)
11 is the new antique/paper store on High, north of Liquid… they have lots of old magazine ads and covers.
I’m pretty sure I know about half of these. Which is more than what I usually know. Kyle takes some difficult photos, but I love the challenge. ;)
I’m not going to post my answers though. Probably not fair for me to win $50 to Betty’s. Ha!
Yeah i like this game and feel the same way about Betty’s that walker does. I have been thinking about doing something somilar, but like an urban easter egg hunt with rewards. Say place 20 small art oblects in places and shoot pics. then the first 2 people to find 5 or more small works geta large painting. I love what our city can hide for us to find!!!
I walked by #5 the other day…can’t remember exactly which intersection it was, but it’s in an alley on the east side of High. I remembered thinking about how long they went without mail delivery before putting up that sign? Also, alleys are my favorite part of any neighborhood. Everything just teems with functionality over grandiose stylistic statements. Kinda like when you’re painting a picture and you suddenly realize your palette is way cooler than your canvas. Well, maybe that doesn’t apply to everyone, lol.
I know where number 5 is but thats about the only one.
look close @ #6 to reveal the street
12 has to be the Stonewall Columbus building.

Well, I’m sure I’m not going to have time to go out and track down the ones I don’t know before someone solves it all. Darn it. I don’t know 1,9, or 16, either, and didn’t know 10 or 14. But, I talked with the guy in the store in 11 the week he opened and got all nostalgic. Also, I’m a real fan of Bam’s work – such vivid color and expression – so I know just where 13 is, too. And the other’s are, well, just parts of home :) Watch out, tho, if I get a chance to get out after work tomorrow before my evening meeting, tho ;)
#16…a # painted on a wall, why would anyone do such a thing?
