mix: HOME opened its doors Aug. 6 at 3515 N. High St. in Clintonville. The store offers furniture and home décor items with vintage, modern, and industrial design influences.
New items are sourced from a long list of manufacturers and vendors in the United States, Europe, and Asia. Reclaimed items are found at shows and auctions or through individuals.

“We enjoy the hunt and excitement of finding something unique,” said Adam Gibson, owner of mix: HOME.
Rather than concentrating on one style or concept, the store “mixes” styles and materials to show how a space can be casual but refined, he said. (Hence the name.)

“We have been inspired by the green movement and wanted to offer a way to influence home décor that is more environmentally friendly,” he explained. “Repurposing is a great way to recycle, mainly because the raw materials in furniture are mostly wood and metal. While we aren’t able to source 100 percent of our products from green manufacturers, we search for products that are built with reclaimed or renewable resources.”
If a shopper is seeking something particular, the mix: HOME staff is willing to help them find it.
“Furniture and home décor shopping can be a daunting task,” Gibson said. “We see hundreds of products while researching and hunting for items. We can collaborate with our clients to ease the stress of finding a particular piece, especially those items that are more unique.”

Can’t wait to check this out!!!
Beautiful.
Katie and I checked this place out today and could not have been more impressed. So much great stuff. We would have walked out with a new coffee table, but it had sold that morning.
Anyway, HIGHLY recommended. We’re going to drop some cash at this place when we move into our new house.
Cool…I’ll be sure to stop in. Good luck.
