Shop Local Holiday Guide: Rivet

By: Walker

The final two weeks of holiday shopping are upon us! That means that if you still have gifts to buy for friends and loved ones, your time is winding down. In order to assist, we’ve reached out to a wide variety of local shops, stores, and boutiques to find out which of their three most popular “must have” items can still be found on their shelves.

Next we have 3 suggestions from Laura Kuenzli, Owner of Rivet, a designer toy and art gallery in the Short North.

“Bot-Anicals original art by Scott Tolleson – Affordable, original art which does not need framing due to its free standing capability. Also a neat accent piece that can be added to a frame for wall display or Christmas tree decoration. Assorted styles and colors available. $30″

“Munnyworld figures by Kidrobot – New do-it-yourself platform figures that allow you to be the artist. A unique gift to be given, blank or customized. Five available design figures. $9.95″

“Blind Box Toy (Uglydoll Action figure shown in picture, $8) A surprise within a surprise is what you can give someone this holiday season. Unwrapping the present is only one step, while opening the inner packaging allows for a few more moments of anticipation in the receiver’s eyes.Over 15 available blind box series with prices varying from $2.95 to $14.99.”

  • Thanks for these Shop Local Guides, Walker! I am NOT an early shopper, so I’m usually scrambling to get gifts. Both Rivet and LottieDa look like they have great possibilities for our nieces and nephews. Can’t wait to check them out!

  • No problem at all! We’ll be featuring a new local shop every day for two weeks straight. ;) Plenty of great options, and hopefully we cover a wide enough variety of shops to appeal to pretty much anyone on your shopping list!

  • Walker, thank you for including Rivet in the Holiday Guides.

For anyone who might need a last minute gift, Rivet will be open on Christmas Eve from 11am-6pm.

    Thanks!
    Laura
