Sage American Bistro is closing its doors after a five year run at 2653 North High Street. The  restaurant was regularly voted as one of the best in Columbus by CU readers for its farm-to-table concept, eccentric menu items and amazing Sunday brunch menu.

“Sage, which was named after my daughter, was my passion,” said Owner and Executive Chef Bill Glover. “In 2012, having met my personal goal for Sage, I embarked on a new career path.”

Last year, Chef Glover took on a new position as the Executive Chef of the Gallerie Bistro at the new Hilton Downtown Columbus hotel. Sage continued to operate for the past year under a new operations team, but the departure of some of those team members has given Glover the reason to close the restaurant for good.

“Sage had a great run, and I will always have so many wonderful memories,” he added. “This adjustment will allow me to fully focus on Gallerie Bar & Bistro at Hilton Columbus Downtown as well my growing family. Several of Sage’s favorite items are featured on the Gallerie menu, which also highlights Ohio products. I’m excited about what the future holds for the Gallerie team.”
