Located at 867 N. High St., Reverse Vanity Spa has a wealth of offerings− from hair removal and makeup application to brow and lash enhancement and airbrush tanning. Skin care is the spa’s top priority, though, and clients have their choice of several related services, including facials, peels and microdermabrasion.

“It’s important to me specifically to educate people about skin in general,” said Nicole DiTommaso, CEO of Reverse Vanity Spa. “A lot of people are not aware of how dramatically environmental damage and the sun can impact the skin underneath the surface, causing us to be less cautious. However, the upside to awareness is there are many treatments we offer to reverse this damage before it surfaces. But if you don’t know, you don’t ask.”

Prior to launching her own spa, DiTommaso worked as an esthetician at Mukha Custom Cosmetics and Medi-Spa. Recently, DiTommaso trained with professionals at Kerstin Florian− a very reputable brand in the skincare industry, she says, adding that Reverse Vanity Spa is the first boutique spa to carry its products.

The spa’s online shop will feature Kerstin Florian products as well.

Reverse Vanity Spa uses BECCA Cosmetics because the line has an array of colors.

“BECCA has shades for the fairest skin to the deepest ebony tones and everything in between,” DiTommaso said. “It’s an Australian-based brand built around makeup that helps improve your skin.”

When DiTommaso toured the 1,700-square-foot space that would become her spa, she said it was love at first sight.

“The space itself is bold,” she continued. “All the windows are very inviting and open. I wanted to entice people’s curiosity. It’s wonderful when you can see a creative person in their own element working.”

Additionally, the space can be rented for parties, showers and the like.

When designing the space, DiTommaso was careful to keep the look sleek and minimal so it can suits a variety of events, she said.

Rental rates vary depending on the day, how many hours the space is used, and whether catering services are provided.

    Reverse Vanity Spa is open Tuesday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m.; Friday from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.; and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
