Kickstarter success Laughlin’s Bakery is under construction in a new Italian Village location at 15 East Second Ave, with an opening slated for December 6. The in-home bakery will focus on handcrafted cakes and pastries.
Burrito-fans rejoice: the long-awaited Short North Chipotle will be opening on December 12th. The restaurant will be the first tenant to open inside the new Fireproof building, located at the incredibly easy-to-remember address of 1000 North High Street.
Arizona-based steak and sushi chain Kona Grill opened the doors of its first Ohio store on Saturday November 15th at 4087 New Bond Street in Easton Town Center. The large 5,000-square-foot space features an upper-level mezzanine and a large patio for next spring.
The retail building located at 331 East Long Street in the Discovery District was discussed at the Downtown Commission earlier this week as the expansion plans for Brioso Coffee were up for review. The project has gone through a few delays, but is currently back on track and moving forward.
The Blu Olive food truck announced on Facebook last week that they will be serving their menu at Hey Hey Bar and Grill in German Village this winter. The menu includes small plates, sandwiches and pastas ranging from $4 to $11.
Cold-press organic juice business Samba Fresh will open a second location in New Albany at 260 Market Street. They aim to open by January, sharing space with a Butcher Shop Fitness gym.
Clintonville’s Weiland’s Market has launched a new series of Wine & Cheese socials for 2015, where every third Thursday of the month, guests can mingle and enjoy a house selection of wine and cheese pairings. They’ve also added new display units to their formerly small produce section.
Meshikou Ramen, which specializes in high-quality Japanese noodle soup, opened at 1506 Bethel Road, in the Bethel Centre shopping center in October. The soup menu ranges in price from $11 to $13, featuring pork belly, karaage chicken and other toppings.
