Red Giraffe Designs Opening Second Store on Grandview Avenue

After two and a half years of retail success in the Short North, local custom jewelry shop Red Giraffe Designs is headed to Grandview Avenue. Owner Kate Stevens announced last week that work has begun on the new location in the Grandview Center at 1419 Grandview Ave.

The new store will be larger than the 360 square foot Short North boutique, but the retail aesthetic will remain similar.

“There will be a slightly larger sales floor as well as a larger work area, and there will be an area where customers can pull up a bar stool to the counter and order customized pieces at the brand new customization bar,” said Stevens. “They can watch us while we create the piece for them or shop around the area and stop back to pick up their jewelry when it’s finished — each item usually takes about 10-20 minutes to complete.”

Stevens said that expanding to the Fifth by Northwest neighborhood, just a block outside of Grandview Heights was a no brainer given that she has been a long-time resident of the area and had been waiting for the right space to become available.

The Grandview Avenue location of Red Giraffe Designs is slated for an early-November opening.
