Rave Motion Pictures Expanding to Grove City

By: Walker

Stringtown Road continues it’s “Polarisification” with the planned addition of a new 14-screen Rave Motion Pictures movie theater. Rave entered the Central Ohio market four years ago when they opened their 18-screen theater at 1071 Gemini Place near the Polaris Fashion Place. The new theater will anchor a strip mall development that includes a new Hobby Lobby and an existing Target and Urban Active Fitness Center.

  • Sprawl exists in other states. It’s hardly an Ohio-based issue.

  • I’ve never been able to go to Rave – bad memories associated with the place, since it was the place that my former employer chose to rent an auditorium from to tell the whole lot of us we were getting laid off, LOL.

Grove City is quickly becoming a mini-Polaris. Which I don’t terribly mind because it keeps me from having to head north to go to Best Buy, etc. Unfortunatey, it has also managed to give Grove City residents a complex where they think they’re better than the rest of us on the West side and deserve a greater share of school funding. ;)

Now, if they would just hurry up and build a Costco on this side of town, I would never have to go to Polaris.

  • I live at Pinnacle and am thrilled with the growth in Grove City.  That was a big reason why I selected the area.  I have everything within a mile and a half from my home.  I say the more growth the better!
