Rancho Alegre Expands to Kingsdale Shopping Center in Upper Arlington

When it comes to Mexican fare in Columbus, all eateries are not built the same. There are some that are quick, cheap, and dirty; others still that aren’t so much authentic as the margaritas are good. And then there’s a place like Rancho Alegre, a Mexican restaurant other Mexican restaurants want to be like for their high quality of ingredients, attention to savory detail, and polite staff. It’s no surprise then that Rancho Alegre has opened a third, bigger, badder store in the Kingdale Shopping Center.

“We needed a new, better place to accommodate our clientele,” manager Linda Nuñez explains. “We want to offer a better experience to our dear customers, and with this location, we are able to do so.”

In addition to all the hundreds of combinations of quesadillas, fajitas, burritos, soups, salads, and nachos that can be ordered at Rancho Alegre, they have added new menu items, like the Veggie #7 and Xongos, cream cheese wrapped in a tortilla, fried, dusted with cinnamon sugar, and drizzled with chocolate syrup.

The Kingsdale Shopping Center is a busy hub, which offers Rancho Alegre the opportunity to capitalize not only on the foot traffic, but on the much larger space they now occupy. This new store has a patio and a back entrance for customers, which matters as the weather picks up and new patrons discover the spot.

“As newcomers, we don’t want to fit in, we want to stand out,” says Nuñez. “We want Upper Arlington to know that Rancho Alegre is not just another restaurant, but a family place for them to come and enjoy.”
