PromoWest Fest Embraced by Music Fans

The beautiful weather and music continued throughout Saturday as day two of PromoWest Fest took place at McFerson Commons.

A minor soundcheck issue before the opening band caused a small delay in the day’s schedule. But once the music began it ran continuously from start to finish as day two mixed up the likes of indie-folk band Milky Chance, emo-punks All Time Low and headliner, rap mega-star Snoop Dogg.

Also performing throughout the day were Grizfolk, Finish Ticket, Alunageorge, Holy White Hounds, Lindsey Stirling, Moon Taxi, LL Cool J, RJD2 and The Decemberists.

Saturday night’s Crew SC game meant that I wasn’t able to stick around to capture any of the late evening bands.

PromoWest Fest continues for the third and final day today.

The Confluence Cast: Grave Matters – Unearthing the North Graveyard

There is often a complex interplay between preservation and progress. A year into his exploration, Columbus Underground reporter Jesse Bethea continues to sift through the story of how the removal of remains from what was once the North Market parking lot unfolded. From the contentious removal of centuries-old graves to the forensic analysis of unearthed remains, today’s episode navigates the ethical, legal, and emotional complexities surrounding the issue.  In the quest to honor the past while embracing the future, we examine what lies beneath the surface of urban development and confront the ghosts of history that still shape our city today.
