American Airlines announced yesterday a new service expansion plan from their Los Angeles (LAX) hub, which includes a new daily nonstop flight to Port Columbus (CMH). The new service will begin on August 27th, but tickets can be purchased early beginning this Sunday, April 14th.

The daily flight is scheduled to depart Columbus at 6:20pm and arrive in LA at 8:20pm. The return flight departs at 10:15am and arrives in Columbus at 5:35pm.

    This makes me happy. Honestly, one of my biggest complaints about living in Columbus is the lack of directflights. I hate flying and I hate connections even more but I like getting across the country in four hours. This is a route I use more than most. Bring on more direct routes please.
