Nearly two years ago, it was announced that the former Downtown police headquarters located next to City Hall would be undergoing a makeover that included the development of new greenspace that would take the place of an existing flat parking lot for city employees, and the re-opening of Gay Street for public access between Front and Marconi.
Those plans have been delayed a bit, but according to a new article in Business First, they’re moving forward again. Following the recent purchase of a new employee parking garage, the renovations are now scheduled to begin sometime in Spring 2011.
