    Photos: The Walrus Opens Downtown

After a few months of delays, The Walrus has officially opened its doors Downtown at 143 East Main Street. This new bar and restaurant is the latest concept from Brad Hobbs, Krista Sparks and Kevin Burns, owners of The Tavern in Olde Towne East. Fans of The Tavern will like what they see at The Walrus, which has a similar-yet-expanded focus when it comes to the food and drink menu, and the large space was designed to host live music in the back. The front of the building has been converted to a garage door entrance, which opens up to a sizable patio with a nice view of the Downtown skyline.

The official grand opening takes place tonight with live music starting at 10pm.
